Five steps
From first call to folder
There are no surprises in the order, and no bill before you’ve agreed to one.
Step 1: A call, not a form
We talk for about twenty minutes. You tell me who you’re planning for and what’s on your mind. Nothing to prepare.
Step 2: A quote in writing
I tell you what I’d draw, what it costs and what is not included, in an email you can sit with.
Step 3: The meeting
At the office, at your home or in a hospital room, we go through your choices and the names to put on the papers.
Step 4: Drafts in plain words
I send the drafts with a one-page summary. Read them at your own pace and ask me anything.
Step 5: Signing and the folder
We sign, with witnesses and a notary where needed. You leave with copies and a list of who to call.
Before we meet
What to bring to the table
Old documents
Any will, trust or power of attorney you already have, even if you think it’s out of date.
A list, not statements
A short list of what you own and owe is enough: accounts, property, insurance, debts. No need to bring every statement.
Names and numbers
The people you might trust to act for you or look after children, with phone numbers.
Your questions
Write them down, including the ones that feel awkward. Those usually matter most.
Pick a day for the first call
Tell me a time that suits you, even evenings and weekends.
Please don’t send confidential details through the form.
