Wills and trusts
A plan you can explain to your kids
A will says who gets what and who is in charge. A living trust does that too, and can keep a house or accounts out of a court filing and under steady management if you can’t manage them yourself.
Most people need less than they fear and more than they have. We start with what you own, who you trust and what you want to happen, and I draw only the papers that do the job.

Wills and trusts, in plain answers
How long does it take?
Usually a call, a meeting to go through the papers, and a signing. The time between depends on how quickly we can settle the choices. People who already know what they want can finish sooner.
Can I change it later?
Yes. A will can be rewritten and a living trust can be amended while you are able to. I recommend a look every few years, or after a birth, a death, a move or a divorce.
What if my plan is a few years old?
Bring it. The check-up tells you what still works and what has drifted, and you only pay to change what needs changing.
Who keeps the originals?
Your choice: I can keep them in the office vault, or you can take them home. Either way you leave with copies and a list of where everything is.
Twenty minutes on the phone first
Twenty minutes, no papers needed. You’ll leave knowing what you need and what it costs.
